14 DecAsia Film Release Expected to Increase Number of Online Poker Players Benefitting from Rakeback

It would seem that Asia is about to go poker crazy as a new film has just premiered in Hong Kong that is sure to take the picture houses by storm. Already Texas Hold’em Poker is seeing a gain in worldwide players and is bound to get far more players once the movie is officially released.

The story is set in Asia and is the tale of two poker playing rivals that are competing in the same competition for the crown.

The film was shot in the well known Asian casino capital of Macau and already it has caused quite a stir due to the number of players arriving in the city during the APT Macau Festival last August while the film was being shot. The film was not short of willing extras as poker players arrived and flocked to get a place on set to be in the movie.

Texas Hold’em has already seen an increase in popularity thanks to the world of online gaming where players can compete from all over the globe. It would now seem that it is going to have a huge impact on the poker scene not only in Hong Kong, but other Asian cities as well.

The premier of the film was packed with a star studded audience and the stars of the film Lau Ching-Wan and Louis Koo also turned out for the evening. Actor Louis Koo said, “This game is very popular in the West. Perhaps it is only just starting to take off in Asia. New skills and mannerisms had to be picked up from players outside of Hong Kong.”

We can’t wait to see this movie and hope that it will soon be on release in the West. It will be curious to see how the game is received by the Eastern players as it is such a relatively new game to them!

I wonder how long it will be before the Eastern players catch up with us Westerners with playing online party poker rakeback and PKR Poker Rakeback?. I bet they can’t wait to get their hands on some brilliant rakeback deals.
